The Rock could return to WWE sooner than expected, it has now been claimed.
Dwayne Johnson is rumoured to be coming back to wrestling next year for a match at WrestleMania 39.
The Wrestling Observer has reported for months that The Rock will be back at the huge show next year for a match with Roman Reigns, his real-life cousin.When is The Rock coming back to WWE?
WrestleMania 39 is still just shy of four months away, but The Rock could be back in WWE quite a bit before that.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted that “there’s a chance” that The Rock is back for the Royal Rumble in January 2023.WWE announced that the Royal Rumble next year has broken live gate records, surpassing $5m over the weekend, so it’ll clearly be a big show regardless of whether or not The Rock does show up or not.
However, if The Rock is challenging Roman for his titles at WrestleMania, you have to speculate that the Hollywood megastar winning the 2023 Royal Rumble is very much on the cards.]
