Despite Sharing Bad Blood in Past, ‘Producer’ Dwayne Johnson Promised to Fulfill John Cena’s Dream in 2018

Dwayne Johnson is currently listed among the elite actors in Hollywood, earning a fat paycheck. However, it was not always like that. Johnson earned his way to the top through struggles, hard work, and determination.

After failing as a footballer, he joined professional wrestling. Soon after, he struck gold as The Rock in WWE, and since then there was no looking back.

In 2004, he would leave WWE as a full-timer, and joined Hollywood instead. However, he would often make sporadic appearances. After a few years, he was one of the most popular actors in the whole world. However, he would return prior to WrestleMania 27, and get involved in a feud with John Cena.

Dwayne Johnson and John Cena shared bad blood during their initial rivalry around WWE WrestleMania 27. However, years have passed since then and now both the men are over that phase. During Watch What Happens: Live’ hosted by Andy Cohen, The Rock cleared all the smoke around his and Cena’s bad-blood.

When a woman asked Johnson if he was willing to work with Cena, since it was his dream to work alongside Dwayne Johnson, or if there still exists a bad blood between them.

The 50-year-old handled the question gracefully and answered, “No! You know I think we squashed that. You know as a matter of fact, John is going to star in one of my movies that I am producing and I think he’s doing great. He’s done great in his transition and he really wants to continue to work hard.”

In fact, the film which Johnson spoke about, him and Cena coming together to fulfil his dream is, ‘The Janson Directive’, which is based on a novel by Robert Ludlum.

Seven Bucks Production would be producing the film, with Cena starring. However, there is no confirmed release date to it.
