Dwayne Johnson’s Sitcom, Young Rock, will soon air an all-new episode this week. We finally witnessed the events that led to Dwayne naming himself “The Rock“, instead of Rocky Maivia. He had also started to climb the ladder of fame but had a hard time adjusting to it.
Young Rock was created in 2021 as a frame story that would revolve around the events that happened in Dwayne Johnson‘s life. From his early childhood in Hawaii to his graduating from the University of Miami, the show covers every aspect of The Rock’s life. It not only offers an insight into his life but shows us the lesser-known story behind the iconic figure. It was seen on NBC for the first time on February 16th, 2021. Young Rock quickly became a hit series and was subsequently renewed and aired for a new season later that year. The current ongoing season began airing on November 4th, 2022. It follows the story after Dwayne loses the 2032 election. The producers of the show have been appreciated all over social media for their choice of actors since they resemble the actual younger versions of Dwayne a lot. His 1982 version, where he’s still in Hawaii, is played by Adrian Groulx. Adrian is a Canada Born actor whose other projects include The Christmas Cure & See.
