MultiVersus’ Black Adam Was Possibly Supposed To Be Voiced By Dwayne Johnson
Dataminers of MultiVersus have found Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson being named in unused content for the “Man In Black” that was later changed, hinting at the possibility that he was initially considered to be voicing the role in-game. In a recent tweet from Twitter user @LaisulMV, it was found that in-game text was supposed to display “The Rock Is Here” and “Play as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.” With the recent release of the Black Adam movie starring The Rock as the titular character, it would make sense that developers would want him to cameo as the voice in the game. The Rock has also displayed great affection for the role of Black Adam, giving a lot of time and attention to the movie in the months following its release. The character in MultiVersus was released just a few days after the movie, which would have made the addition of The Rock voice acting the character perfect timing for the Black Adam fan base. An exact reason for this change has not been announced. Still, MultiVersus is no stranger to using stand-in voice actors instead of the possibly more expensive actors the character displays. This is clearly seen in LeBron James’ character not being voiced by LeBron James himself and recent live-action Superman actors not voicing Superman.
