Elon Musk’s Twitter account has become even more popular

According to an article on the Savanna News website, Elon Musk has recently surpassed former US President Barack Obama in terms of Twitter followers, becoming the most followed account on the platform. This comes six months after Musk acquired Twitter in a highly publicized takeover. Since then, the South African-born entrepreneur has continued to increase his lead over Obama and other popular Twitter accounts.

At the time the article was published, Musk had 137,738,862 followers on Twitter, nearly five million more than Obama’s 132,760,332 followers. In third place is pop star Justin Bieber with 112,932,092 followers.

Elon Musk has significantly reduced the number of employees on Twitter’s payroll

After acquiring Twitter, Elon Musk made significant changes to the company’s operations. One of these changes has been a drastic reduction in the number of employees on Twitter’s payroll, from 7,500 to fewer than 2,000. Musk’s strategy for making the platform financially viable has been to focus on increasing the number of paid subscribers. However, this approach has not been as successful as hoped.

Additionally, the platform has experienced several technical issues under Musk’s leadership. For example, there was an incident where tweets by Musk suddenly appeared on the feeds of millions of users, even those who were not following him. Despite these challenges, Musk has encouraged users to communicate more freely on Twitter and has stated that the site will impose the minimum amount of censorship allowed by law.
